LAMBERT has completed food service components at both the Smith Warehouse Student Service Center and the R. David Thomas Center at Duke University. The Smith Warehouse renovation included the placement of a food service facility for both student and employee usage, as well as a common-use kitchen for potlucks and catered events. Renovation of the R. David Thomas Center servery included the reconfiguration of the kitchen-to-dining access, and of the dessert line within the dining area.
The Saladelia Café, located on the first floor in Bay 6.
The cafe offers was designed to offer soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts as well as both hot and cold beverages.
An open lounge area was incorporated in the “Business Center” area adjacent to the main entry and Café. Electrical outlets and wireless IT services are provided throughout the building.
The common-use kitchen incorporates high-end residential grade appliances and is used for potluck gatherings as well as on-site prepared meals. Islands were constructed from reclaimed timber from the building renovation.
