In the development of this 13,500 SF servery within Lowe’s Corporate Headquarters and Customer Service Center, a modified scramble format was chosen with self-service and serving stations. The center island performs a myriad of tasks. The long side facing the hot food and grill service houses the salad bar and is located close to the kitchen for easy replenishment. Self-service beverage stations are located on both sides of the service patterns for ease of access.

Hot foods and daily specialty selections are displayed and served by staff from retail-type glass front cases. A deli-grill combination provides made-to-order sandwiches and anchors the inside corner in a prominent location.

A curving wall merges into and helps conceal an existing structural column that also provides a place for refrigerant lines to run to remote condensers. A shorter false column on the opposite end provides a ventilation chimney for airflow to the refrigeration equipment in the island. LAMBERT also designed the signage and custom lighting fixtures for the space.

Seating continues the curved design and encompasses a seating area adjacent to food service, yet open to the main concourse
